The Challenge

Food and Travel Mexico is the country's leading premium travel and food media outlet. Despite its print success, its digital presence didn't reflect the brand's editorial quality: a generic, poorly implemented WordPress template, content lost in an unintuitive structure and a visual experience far from the careful design of the print edition. The goal was to turn its digital presence into a legitimate extension of the magazine — capable of attracting readers, sustaining advertising campaigns and scaling as a modern editorial platform.

The Solution

Play.Interactive developed three generations of the Food and Travel Mexico site, each more solid and refined than the last. We designed a UX/UI inspired by the print format, with fluid navigation that emulates flipping through the magazine and photo composition adapted to the digital environment. The infrastructure was built on DigitalOcean and Laravel Forge, with a MariaDB database and a network protected by Cloudflare, with advanced caching and security configuration. We integrated Google Ad Manager for monetization with programmatic banners and dynamic campaigns. We implemented a modular content structure with advanced visual management via ACF, and the platform analyzes behavior, measures engagement and generates commercial opportunities in real time.
