Built for the Moment

Getac Technology Corporation manufactures rugged computing devices designed to operate in extreme conditions: battlefields, disaster sites, terrain where conventional equipment simply fails. The communication challenge was to demonstrate that capability credibly — without falling into a purely technical piece or generic advertising. Getac's buyers are high-level professionals — security forces, rescue teams, heavy industry — who immediately recognize when something isn't authentic. The piece needed to show the equipment in real action, with real people, in real conditions.

Play.Interactive designed the narrative strategy and coordinated the project end-to-end from Mexico. In pre-production we developed the video concept — a mountain rescue mission with a real-tension narrative — the script, the storyboard and all the logistical planning for the shoot in Poland. To give the video authentic credibility, we set up a collaboration with AKUT, a Polish organization specialized in mountain rescue, whose members participated as real protagonists of the story using Getac equipment in extreme terrain. We managed remote coordination with the production crew in the field — art direction, actor and rescuer briefings, shot supervision — all from Mexico, across multiple time zones. Once the footage was in, we handled full post-production: narrative editing, color correction, audio design and visual effects, delivering a high-impact piece that works as a sales tool, content for corporate events and material for social media.
